Platform obligations

  • Manage access to the different mass spectrometers
  • Provide recommendations for sample preparation and information on the functioning of the equipments
  • Inform claimants on the way to analyze samples
  • Guarantee the confidentiality of data
  • Give detailed information to users on problems linked to an analysis
  • Train ressource people in different laboratories, authorized to use equipment (especially the Maldi-Tof mass spectrometer).
  • Provide the claimants who do not participate in the analyses with analyses report
  • Ensure a computer backup for data safety
  • Ensure a safety storage of samples up to one year after their analysis
  • Make the necessary consumables available
  • Make computers for databases search available

Duties of users towards the platform

  • Contact engineers of the platform on this page
  • Give all necessary information on the objectives of the experience (provided upon request)
  • Provide the platform with samples prepared according to the recommendations for analyses LC-MS-MS
  • For resources people specially trained for the use of equipments, observe instructions given during the training by the platform engineers
  • Give access to specific databases not accessible via internet
  • Participate financially to the analyses costs according to the level of involvement in the experiments or to specific engagements in the framework of contracts. Standard tariffs are available on the website ( LC-MS-MS)
  • Ensure the backup of the results obtained by resources people at each equipment utilization.

Results valorisation and signature (articles and communications)

Results valorisation has to follow the normal rules of signature and acknowledgments.

  • The claimant undertakes to include people from the platform as co-authors when the results obtained by the platform are essential to the article or communication.
  • If the results produced by the platform are not essential to the article or communication, acknowledgements to the platform for the use of equipment and access to engineer expertise must appear in the paper.
